Pinching dahlias!!

I’m in zone 6 and I started planting my dahlia tubers in the field in mid-May and ended June 1.

This video shows how I pinch dahlias and why I pinch. These dahlias specifically were planted about 5 1/2 weeks ago. Some of the plants are still small while others are over 2 feet tall.

The dahlias that I planted earlier in the field were pinched weeks ago and buds are already forming on the lateral shoots.
